About Malinda Williams

Malinda Williams is an American actress known for her role in ‘A thin line between love and hate’ as Erica Wright. She was also seen in, ‘The woods’ and ‘Soul Food’.  She got married to Mekhi Phifer in 1999. The marriage ended in 2003. She then married DJ D-Nice in 2008 and got separated in 2010. She has a son with Mekhi and no children with DJ.

After their divorce, Malinda and Phifer kept their differences apart and co-parented their child effectively. They became better friends than they were, when they were married. Phifer said that it was his fault. He was very young and did not know want to do when a relationship is in a problem. He said that he and his wife were alpha dogs and things did not work for them.

He also confessed that he had an affair and was an unfaithful husband. This was the reason for the separation. He said that when he was not with Williams, the girls seem to throw themselves over him and he couldn’t resist. Though he accepted that he was cheating on Williams, he said that there was no proof. He said that they though they were married for a long time, they were together only for a year. Williams tagged him as an adulterer.

In 2011, it was said that DJ abandoned Williams, because, his secret girlfriend was pregnant. He left her when his girl was seven and a half months pregnant.

Williams and DJ split when they were just married for six months. The reason for the split was not known. The relationship was too hurt to get repaired and DJ couldn’t find a way to get over Williams before the separation was legalized. DJ said that the best way to get over the spouse is to hook up. He started having relationship with her. When he was in a relationship with the girl, the split between Williams and DJ started to heal. But, unfortunately, the girl became pregnant out of wedlock. He did not want to have a bastard and he though it is the right thing to marry her, before the child was born.

Malinda Williams and Mekhi Phifer  

His girl’s father is a multi-millionaire and founder of GlobalHue. Many sources indicate that DJ was not marrying her so that his child would have a better future. He planned to marry her for her money. He was dating her for a year and soon after his separation from Williams, he posted a lot of pictures of him with her, holding her pregnant belly. They two moved together to Manhattan.

There are no details about when they are getting married. As far as Williams, she is not dating anyone as of now. 

She did not want to instantly pick her next boyfriend. She said that she was very hurt by her separation from DJ. She did not mention any other detail about the separation. The separation settlement, spousal support and other details are missing from the internet. DJ has never been sorry for what he did to Williams. Williams did not want to comment on his act on their relationship.
