Naturi Cora Maria
Naughton (born May 20, 1984) is an American actress, singer, rapper and
songwriter. She is formerly one-third of the R&B trio 3LW and is popular
for her roles in Fame, Notorious, and The Playboy Club. She was born in East
Orange, New Jersey to Brenda, a part-time paralegal, and Ezra Naughton, a
retired accountant. She was also raised there.
Her birth name was Naturi Cora
Maria Naughton. She was enrolled at St. Joseph's Catholic school and later she
attended Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair, New Jersey.
There is no any
information about her personal matters like her love affairs, her boyfriend,
her married life, her loving spouse and her divorce. There is also no
information about her children. Maybe she is more interested in keeping these
personal matters secret and loves to keep it low. Once she was rumored to be
pregnant but it was not true.
When she was 15, in
1999, Naughton joined Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams to form their own
group 3LW. They released their first single, "No More (Baby I'ma Do
Right)", in the fall of 2000. "No More" was a huge success and
it was followed by the second single, "Playas Gon' Play" in early
2001. The group's debut album, 3LW, was released on December 5, 2000.
The album
went platinum, selling 1.3 million copies in the U.S. In 2001, the group went
on the MTV TRL tour. They toured along with Destiny's Child, Dream, Nelly, Eve,
and Jessica Simpson. It is expected that she is earning a huge salary from her
acting career; however, her actual real time net worth is unknown.
