About Chinedu Izuchukwu Okoli (Mr. Flavour)


Chinedu Izuchukwu Okoli popularly known as Flavour was born
on November 23, 1983. He is a very young talented singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist. He is a native of Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Just like many popular musicians today, Flavour bagan his musical career in his church where he was a drummer. He later learnt how to play the Keyboard, Guitar and other instruments. The resident pastor at Flavours Church introduced him to a friend of his, named Chris I. Ordor, the Chief Executive Officer of a music company known as SoundCity Communications. At that time, Mr. I. Ordor had just started a new music company aimed at training and raising young musicians on the basics of music and also nurturing them all the way to a professional level. In the year 1996, Flavour was invited to join the company on an educational scholarship to study music.After he must have spent three years, playing the drums, Flavour started playing the drums professionally. In the year 1999, Flavour moved on from playing the drums and started playing the keyboard. He also used to provide backing vocals for other musicians at SoundCity.

After spending some times, learning how to play drums professionally, Flavour received an offer to perform at City Centre, Enugu in an event that attracted a massive crowd. The massive crowd at the City Centre inspired him to gain new grounds and reach great heights. Owing to his educational background in music Flavour was enabled to learn music production from Dekumzy, Isi Charles and Nnachie.

In the year 2005, Flavour released his debut album. The album was very successful. It's success was more in the South-Eastern Nigeria, especially in Enugu State. Flavour collaborated with Mr. Raw on the album's lead single titled "N'abania".

Flavour’s rise to stardom is due to his unique style and music. Flavour sings fluently in English and Igbo, his native dialet.
Flavour has had collaborations with musicians like Nigga Raw, Tiwa Savage, Bracket, Chidimma and others.

Flavour’s hit albums had won him one award or nominations including:
