Flavour was born
on November 23, 1983. He is a very young
talented singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist. He is a native of
Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Just like many popular musicians today,
Flavour bagan his musical career in his church where he was a drummer. He later
learnt how to play the Keyboard, Guitar and other instruments. The resident
pastor at Flavours Church introduced him to a friend of his, named Chris I.
Ordor, the Chief Executive Officer of a music company known as SoundCity
Communications. At that time, Mr. I. Ordor had just started a new music company
aimed at training and raising young musicians on the basics of music and also
nurturing them all the way to a professional level. In the year 1996, Flavour
was invited to join the company on an educational scholarship to study
music. After he must have spent three years, playing the drums, Flavour started
playing the drums professionally. In the year 1999, Flavour moved on from
playing the drums and started playing the keyboard. He also used to provide
backing vocals for other musicians at SoundCity.
After spending some times, learning how to
play drums professionally, Flavour received an offer to perform at City Centre,
Enugu in an event that attracted a massive crowd. The massive crowd at the City
Centre inspired him to gain new grounds and reach great heights. Owing to his educational
background in music Flavour was enabled to learn music production from Dekumzy,
Isi Charles and Nnachie.
In the year 2005, Flavour released his debut
album. The album was very successful. It's success was more in the
South-Eastern Nigeria, especially in Enugu State. Flavour collaborated with Mr.
Raw on the album's lead single titled "N'abania".
